patients can access their health
information from the electronic
medical records system used by
their hospital,” says Brian Talbot,
Dignity Health’s IT Collaboration
Director.
“It’s login- and password-protected,”
he says, “much like online banking.”

“The health records office guaran-
tees a 30-day turnaround,” he says.
“But online, you can get lab reports
within 24 hours. That’s a popular
feature.”

an app for mobile devices—are
